We’re excited to be welcoming Fever-Tree Premium Tonics to our next Meet the Distiller evening on Monday 4th September at 8pm.
Since day one of opening V.SQ, we’ve used Fever-Tree as our main mixer and still stand by our choice today in offering its whole range of premium drinks to our customers. Its ethos for using only the highest quality natural ingredients is something that really makes a difference when pairing with gin, and the subtle aromas are not something you would find in a low-budget equivalent.
Tickets for the event are £20 per person, which includes one cocktail and a signature gin both made with Fever-Tree, along with nibbles and an informative and interesting talk by the experts (tickets available to purchase from the bar, pre-booking is essential).
A bit of background on Fever-Tree
For those of us who like to do our homework, we thought we’d give you a quick overview of the brand before meeting them on 4th September (but we’ll keep it top-line as we don’t want to tell too much of the story!). Most tonics used cheap ingredients and artificial sweeteners but Tim Warrillow and Charles Rolls decided that enough was enough, they wanted a premium tonic to mix with their gin. It took 15 months of research into quinine sources and numerous trips to find the purest strains of this key ingredient before the dream team produced the first bottle of Fever-Tree Indian Tonic Water in 2005. The brand name came from the colloquial name for the cinchona tree in which quinine is found (read the magical story of the Fever Tree here) and have since launched a product line of 13 delicious drinks which can be used as mixers or enjoyed on their own.
